A New Studio Note has arrived! πŸ’Œ May 2026 Edition

Studio Note 05/26

Hello Reader,

Spring has sprung! I love seeing everything turn leafy and green. Some of my flowers are blooming, but my vegetable garden is looking very sparse. I'm a little worried about it, honestly.

We met up with some family members over spring break and spent some time walking trails in the north Georgia woods. I photographed a beautiful mountain creek and some waterfalls, and I've packaged them up for a little downloadable gift (scroll down to the end).

Here's a summary if you're short on time :

  • a new mini painting
  • spring art print suggestions to refresh your space
  • a free download for you

Art Notes

I haven't made much time to paint anything large or "serious". Only small, quick things for now, as well as low-effort sketches in my sketchbook. I hope to feel a shift in energy soon. I painted this harpy earlier in April on some Fabriano Enhanced watercolor paper. I'll likely paint another mythology-themed lady next, but I haven't decided which one! Stay tuned...

Shop Notes

There are plenty of spring-themed prints in the shop! This combo of rabbits is especially lovely! If you're looking for art to refresh your space with, take a look at my print shop or shop for the originals!

Extra Notes

I took some photos from a recent camping and hiking trip and packaged them up for your use! You can use them as references for a drawing or painting, or part of a digital collage.

P.S. Commercial use is fine, but please don't sell them as is or package them as part of another bundle that you're selling. ;)

Until next time,

Catherine
